Since its creation in 1949, Algist Bruggeman has grown to become a leading manufacturer of baker's yeast.Our long-standing experience has endowed us with a strong product knowledge and process control, which results in a first-class product. In addition, we are proud to call ourselves pioneers in the development of new yeast products and applications, which means that we can always meet the quickly changing needs of the bakers and industrial bakeries. Like most yeast manufacturers, Algist Bruggeman started out by producing alcohol. That explains our name: Al(cohol) and "gist" for yeast. Bruggeman refers to the founder Mr Pieter Bruggeman. Algist Bruggeman has a yearly turnover of over 50 million Euro and employs 170 people. Algist Bruggeman's success is based on the daily commitment of all our employees, the confidence of tens of thousands of bakers all over the world and the permanent efforts of our salespeople, distributors and their assistants.
